Painting from a black and white photo

Hello Leonart,

I found this old photo from 1945, a time when color photos did not exist yet!
It is a picture of my grandfather and I would like to give it a second life.
Would it be possible to paint it in color while keeping an old style ?

If so, is it possible to have a preview of the colors applied or will I only get the result when the painting is done?

The desired size is 60x90cm.

When Leonart has to make a painting from a photo that needs to be modified, he always goes through the "photo retouching" stage.
