Hello Leonart,
I'm contacting you about a rather special project.
I would like to surprise my family by creating a portrait of us in the like a royal family.
To create the perfect illusion, the painting should be 75cm high, in an antique style, with period costumes.
Ideally, Madame would be seated, wearing a dress. The child would be at her side and the father would be in the center, standing up, also in costume, and in a "protective" position.
I don't know exactly how we can proceed because I don't have any other pictures to send you than our faces.
I am at your disposal for other photos if needed.
Best regards.
FIND A REFERENCE PAINT
The artist paints only "what he sees". In this case, it is thus a question of seeking a painting approaching as close as possible to the specifications transmitted.
N.B. We never risk launching a project from scratch without having first composed a visual that corresponds to the request. This is the assurance, for Leonart as well as for its client, of a realization without (bad) surprises.
CREATION OF THE NEW VISUAL
We have our visual reference, it is now necessary to work on this image.
Here's the image we settled on as a basis for our work: an 1847 painting by Dutch painter Jean Baptist van der Hulst.
Perfect for our project!
We have:
- Removed the girl with the dog
- brought the young man closer to the mother.
- centered all the characters
- Created an extension to Madame's dress, bottom right.
- Replaced the background, at the customer's request, with a duck green, to highlight the family.
- Replaced the faces to bring this new royal family to life.
After submitting this new visual to the client and receiving his approval, the painter set to work to reproduce the above model identically in oil paint.
15 DAYS LATER,
HERE'S THE RESULT, IN PAINT À OIL, MOUNTED IN A GOLD FLOATING FRAME
Ready to entrust us with your project?
We turn your ideas into beautiful works of art!
"Dear Ludovic,
I have received the painting and it suits me perfectly.
Can't wait to give it as a Christmas present!
Happy holidays to you and your team".
